It’s the weekend! You made it. You’ve worked hard, participated in multiple meetings and phone calls, achieved goals, completed projects, had a few stressful interactions, and ready to exhale and prepare for next week. WAIT…Life is short. Have discussions. Intentional discussions. With a family member, friend, or other individual you’ve been “meaning to call” in your outside-of-work circle. One discussion could change lives. Yours. Theirs. Perhaps both.
I believe speaking with international family or friends actually allows one to live vicariously through them. It takes you away from the busy place to a more relaxed place and/or at least, another frame of mind. Chao.
I like that, Edwina. I would also think connecting with international family/friends would help to bring forth realities that others are culturally facing, that may not be considered on a day to day basis. It wasn’t until I actually visited India, China, Mexico, European countries, that I really understood the meaning of cultural differences, and connecting with others does bring about a sense of awareness. Thanks for chiming in on the discussion! I hope you have a great weekend and a very meaningful discussion with someone :).
